I was contracted to create a flyer for a client going by the name of Poppy whose business is based in Salford. The process I had to take to ensure I got this project was send a proposal for the design and some samples of my work then the contractor would decide if I was suitable for the role. As you can see from the designs I was picked to do the work and I undertook the task like I would undertake every design task by putting 100% into what I was doing and trying to produce something new and different.
When talking to the client the impression I got was she wanted something a little different from what was already out there for florist flyers and she wanted something unique to her but still wanted to grab the attention of her new customers. From that brief chat I then went away and conducted my research into florist companies and florist flyers and business cards and collected up some very useful ideas. The final design I came up with was to have the flyer use the base colours green and white but my idea was to make a statement on the back of the flyer and make it jump out at you when you saw it. So my idea for that was to have a banner with flowers surrounding it but make it look as if the flowers were jumping out at you. I continued this theme on the front of the flyer by adding the write up content on the flyer and then adding the same flowers used on the back on the front.
The client was more than happy with the print designs and said that is was something really different and exciting and fitted in with their company really well. You will also find everything you see on the flyer has been created by me as I like to make everything I design my own so its unique to me and the client. The software I used to create this flyer was Adobe Photoshop and the client has also provided me with a reference for this design work.
