Client Halloween Party Invitation
I was contracted to create an Invitation for a client going by the name of Sam who is based in Dudley. The process I had to take to ensure I got this project was to send a proposal for the design and some samples of my work then the contractor would decide if I was suitable for the role. As you can see from the designs I was picked to do the work and I undertook the task like I would undertake every design task by putting 100% into what I was doing and trying to produce something new and different for the client I am designing for.

When I got talking to the client I got the impression that again they didn't really know what they wanted from this Halloween Invitation. They knew they wanted it to be child friendly and not too scary but wanted to add as much Halloween related images to the invitation as possible. They also had an idea of the colour scheme and they wanted that to be light and dark colours. So from this information I then went away and conducted some research into Halloween Invitations and Halloween itself to get some ideas together to produce something very good for this client.

The final design I came up with was a light cream background with a black and orange colour scheme. I tried using as much Halloween related designs as possible without over crowding the invitation and made the main focus of the invitation the bat at the top of the page and the banner a quarter of the way down which shows skulls, cats and more bats. The text I used was bold and Halloween type text to make it stand out and jump from the page and to give the invitation it's identity a bit more. I have to say I was really happy with the final design and I loved the challenge of doing something different and would love to do something like this again.

The client was really happy with the final design and has given me a really nice reference to tell people what she thought of the Invitation. You will also find the design of this Invitation has been created by me as I like to make everything I design my own so its unique to me and the client. The software I used to create the invitation was Adobe Photoshop.
