I was contracted to create a flyer for a client going by the name of Lucy who’s business is based in Stoke on Trent. The process I had to take to ensure I got this project was send a proposal for the design and some samples of my work then the contractor would decide if I was suitable for the role. As you can see from the designs I was picked to do the work and I undertook the task like I would undertake every design task by putting 100% into what I was doing and trying to produce something new and different.
The client wanted to have a flyer that would look professional and appeal to people from any gender and age range who were going to use her hairdressing services. From the information I was given I then went away and conducted some research into hairdressers and hairdresser flyers that other hairdressers had already done, and from that research I started putting some design ideas together to show the client what I had come up with. The idea that I finally came up with was a black, cream and blue colour scheme with pattern effect backgrounds. I did use images on this flyer and the image I drew was a merged male and female head with scissors going through it. I thought the final designed was everything that the client wanted and I was more than happy with it and would defiantly love to do something like this again.
The software I used to create the flyer was Adobe Photoshop. If you would like to view the flyer then please feel free to click on the link at the bottom of this text and a light box will appear showing the designs that I have created. The feedback form from this person is in my paper-based portfolio, and will be available on request. However I have now added a section to this website called testimonials which is placed within the portfolio sections of this website and you will need to click on the link to get to what has been said about me from each client that I have done work for.
