Nicole Simms Logo
I was contracted to create a Logo for a client going by the name of Nicole Simms whose business is based in Oldbury near Dudley. The process I had to take to ensure I got this project was to send a proposal for the design and some samples of my work then the contractor would decide if I was suitable for the role. As you can see from the designs I was picked to do the work and I undertook the task like I would undertake every design task by putting 100% into it.

When I got talking to the client I got the impression that they wanted a logo that would be a cartoon version of themselves. The client also asked if they could have 2 shades of pink used within this logo because pink was their favourite colour. So again from this information I went away and looked at the ideas that the client had brought along with them and started by desiging something personal and professional for the cleint.

To get to the final design I had to take a picture of the client to ensure that when I was turning them into a cartoon version of themselves I had all the features correct. Once this had been done I then went away and by using Adobe Photoshop I started drawing the character. I feel that I managed to create a good fit from the picture that I had taken. The background of the image was a light pink background with darker pink spots to give the background more of a statement. Over all I am more than happy with the final design and would like to do something like this again.

The client was really happy with the final design and has given me a really nice reference to tell people what he thought of the Logo, which will be available in my paper-based portfolio and on my website. The software I used to create the flyer was Adobe Photoshop.
