I was contracted to create an Invitation for a client going by the name of Emily who is based in Stourbridge. The process I had to take to ensure I got this project was to send a proposal for the design and some samples of my work then the contractor would decide if I was suitable for the role. As you can see from the designs I was picked to do the work and I undertook the task like I would undertake every design task by putting 100% into what I was doing and trying to produce something new and different for the client I am designing for.
When I got talking to the client I got the impression that they didn't really know what kind of design they wanted but wanted something that was going to go with the Pirates and Pixies theme they were having. So from this I had to go away and conduct some research into invitations that were for both boys and girls, invitations that were based on pirates and pixies and also look at the colour schemes used to I could match both the themes together.
The final design I came up with was to use a green, cream and white colour scheme and used fancy text that would be suitable for both pirates and pixies and add different elements onto the invitation that represented the theme of the party, so for example I added pixies graphics and fairy dust for the girls and pirates and ships for the boys. I have to say I was really happy with the final design and I loved the challenge of doing something different and would love to do something like this again.
The client was really happy with the final design and has given me a really nice reference to tell people what she thought of the Invitation. You will also find the design of this Invitation has been created by me as I like to make everything I design my own so its unique to me and the client. The software I used to create the invitation was Adobe Photoshop.
