Toy House Logo
I was contracted to create a logo for a client going by the name of Melanie whose business is based in Worcester. The process I had to take to ensure I got this project was to send a proposal for the design and some samples of my work then the contractor would decide if I was suitable for the role. As you can see from the designs I was picked to do the work and I undertook the task like I would undertake every design task by putting 100% into what I was doing and trying to produce something new and different for the client I am designing for.

When I got talking to the client I got the impression that they wanted a logo that was going to be different and unique to them. They also told me that they didn’t want to have a logo that everyone else uses and wanted theirs to have a wow factor. So from this information I went away and conducted some research into Toy Shop logos that other people were using to give me an idea of what I can use and what I can’t use as the client said they didn’t want to have a logo that was the same as what everyone else is using.

The final design I came up with was to try and do what the client asked and make something completely different, so what I came up with was to draw children’s building blocks that were different colours and then use the word “Toy” down the one side of the blocks because the shop is called “Toy House” and the other things that I did was to put some kind of pattern around the blocks to fill the white space and for the logo to jump out at you and as you can see from the final design that’s what I did. I have to say I was really happy with the final design and I loved the challenge of doing something different and would love to do something like this again.

The client was really happy with the final design and has given me a really lovely reference to tell people what she thought. You will also find the design of this logo has been created by me as I like to make everything I design my own so its unique to me and the client. The software I used to create this logo was Adobe Photoshop and the client has also provided me with a reference for this design work.
