I was contracted to create a flyer for a client going by the name of Paula whose business is based in Manchester. The process I had to take to ensure I got this project was to send a proposal for the design and some samples of my work then the contractor would decide if I was suitable for the role. As you can see from the designs I was picked to do the work and I undertook the task like I would undertake every design task by putting 100% into what I was doing and trying to produce something new and different for the client I am designing for.
When I got talking to the client I got the impression that they wanted a flyer that was modern, up to date and current. They also gave me some ideas of other flyers that they had seen and wanted me to try and do something similar but not the same because they wanted their flyer to be different from anyone else’s. So from this information I went away and looked at the ideas I was given and also did a bit of my own research to ensure that what I was doing was going to match up to what the client wanted.
The final design I came up with was to have a three section flyer with a header and content section and a footer with each section having something different inside it. The colours I used for this flyer was grey and turquoise which I thought blended in really well together and made it stand out and look different from the other Photography flyers that I had seen. Again I was really happy with the final design and I loved the challenge of doing something different and would love to do something like this again.
The client was really happy with the final design and has given me a really nice reference to tell people what she thought. You will also find the design of this flyer has been created by me as I like to make everything I design my own so its unique to me and the client. The software I used to create this flyer was Adobe Photoshop and the client has also provided me with a reference for this design work.
